Welcome to the forum. What color did you choose? I have seen several of the ST line versions. But, they are not common in my area.
There is plenty of information in the threads of this forum. Post up some images of your car and tell us what you are planning to do.

Hello all! I'm the new owner of a 2019 Ford fiesta ST line. 1.6 na, automatic. Im happy to be here in good company. Looking to build my fiesta into something quick. Not fast, just quick.

You can add handling, but performance ain't gonna happen.

2015 Fiesta SE
Hullo peoples! Was over on FiestaFaction for a while and found a certain lack of technical information and know-how. Its a great community, but I figured I'd register here as well to pick y'all's brains on some things. I drive a 2015 Fiesta SE that I bought new after my Trailblazer burned to the ground and finally paid it off this past year. As I am now the warranty, its time I take maintenance a little more seriously. I look forward to perusing the tech sections and seeing what I've missed, and hopefully get some answers to questions I've had for some time now.

Welcome to the forum. I used to be on the faction from 2009 until around late 2013.
The participation level seriously declined when the Fiesta ST was introduced.
Within 9 months almost everyone who was inclined to make changes to a Fiesta had jumped over to the ST version, which is a much more modification friendly car.
Most of the thread archives of the faction is composed of the early discussion of various package contents and what colors were being ordered. The Fiesta was all new and didn't have non warranty issues. So, most threads there are pretty boring in retrospect.
I think that the Fiesta is in a good place right now. Values are reasonable and holding steady. Parts prices are generally reasonable.
Accessories are still available in the aftermarket and the ST version has provided a gold mine of wheel options and brake&suspension upgrades that most other sub compact car owners can only dream of.

Yes I’ve already started putting together a list for mods. The 15x9” 10hole reps from LMR are very tempting and in theory would go nicely with the H&R super sport lowering springs, koni oranges, and some Falken Azenis rt645k(?) in a slightly stretched 205/50r15. Some other minor appearance mods are on the docket, and I’m eyeballing the 3” stainless exhaust I’m seeing everywhere on Amazon and eBay. Though I’ll admit, I’m not too keen on the idea of not having a Borla, Roush, or Magnaflow kit on there. We’ll cross that bridge when we get there, I suppose.

Hi guys & gals,just about to pick up,a Fiesta sport Ecoboost 1.0.2015 model 87,000kms on the odo,5 spd manual(not the dreaded ‘power shift’)Frozen white,lady owner in really good condition.(Sold of all things a GT Mustang!)It was just getting to hard on our backs.This Fiesta will just be a run around car though.Going to give it a really good detail when I pick up on Friday,engine bay is pretty dusty & dirty,I will do my ‘magic’,& it won’t be recognised once I am finished with it.Cheers.🦘🦘🦘🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺

2018 Fiesta SE, 57k miles (bought used at 52k), 1.6 non turbo. 6 sp double clutch 'automated manual', I've had 2 minor tranny glitches in 13 months of ownership, both at highway speeds. Minor: Both times: 'why is the tach at 4k RPM, I should be near 100 MPH!' Step on the throttle, it goes back down. I forget if cruise was on or not. Otherwise, I'll post questions later. :)

The transmission learns your driving style. It might become a bit confused if you make rapid throttle inputs at speeds above 55 mph.
There are quite a few discussion threads on the DPS6 transmission in the forum. Most of us have concluded that the issues are mostly corrected on the cars that have been updated to the latest specs or were built after mid 2014.
We have found that if you drive it like you are in a bit of a hurry, it actually shifts very well.

The thing to understand here is that while it's an automatic, it doesn't have a torque converter or a CVT like the typical automatic we're used to.
It has a dual clutch, just like a manual Fiesta. It works a little like a manual in that you need to give her the beans to get up to speed.
What you're looking for is solid shifts, not a computer confused by your input.
Most Americans can't drive a stick, so they're not aware of how a clutch differs from a torque converter. If you pay attention, it'll shift fine.

I had this happen a couple times while I was in S, not D. It was waiting for me to shift, I think, and when I let off a bit it shifted up a gear on its own. Only when I got to the next off-ramp did I notice I was in S. Chalked it up to that.

Yes, this gearbox takes a bit of getting used to. It does seem to do a good job of learning how you drive. I have found that being undecided with the throttle seems to make it confused. So my way of driving is to be sure on the throttle and not on & off a lot. Smooth is always faster and it seems, in this case, it is better for this particular gearbox.

At last count, I've driven over 10 Ford Escorts which were stick (>650k total miles, I changed zero clutches, I'm decent on a stick). I had at least 2 more Escorts which were automatics. 3 of my 5 trucks were stick. Yeah, I understand stick.

My driving habits are to avoid S mode completely, but the few times I used it, I understood what was happening and went back to D. Anyways, the 2 funky tranny shift events were over 8 months ago. Thanks, econoboxrocks, for the clarification regarding the lack of a torque converter, was wondering about that. FWIW, my prior car was an '08 Sentra with the early ECVT. It went 175k, then got totalled, so that, too is familiar territory. Took 2+ years for me to adapt to the Sentra ECVT, but I learned to like it (2700RPM was anywhere from 40 to 65 MPH).
