I got my car back in August and since I’ve had it it has this whining when I step on the gas like it’s coming from the transmission is this normal to have a whining sound I’m afraid I have something wrong with my transmission
Thank you

You don't give us much to go on. I will presume you have an automatic transmission.
No. Whining or grinding sounds are not normal.
When you back out of your most frequently occupied parking space or garage bay, do you see any fresh oil spots on the area below where the front of your fiesta was parked?
The fluid from our transmissions is a dark gold color, not dark red or black.
Or, when you shine a flashlight on the areas where your cv avles go into the transmission, do you see evidence of flujd leaking from around the axle stub shaft?
Are you aware of the service history of this particular car? Has it had work done prior to your ownership?
All that aside, if it were me, i would probably start by determining if i can get the noise to go away or be reduced by adding some Motorcraft transmission fluid of the correct spec.
If the noise is caused by low fluid level, that sound is the geartrain screaming for lubricaton.

Yes, the first step would be to check your fluid level. It wouldn't hurt to do a flush and fill on a car that old.
